Unless you’re connected to me on Facebook or are watching some of the videos from my personal YouTube channel, you probably don’t know what’s been going on in my life lately. If you don’t care, then don’t go any further than this. If you do, I’ve got more to share with you. At the end of this article I’ll have a point to make.
Tired me in a sling
Let’s start off with this particular fact. On March 19th I had shoulder surgery on my right shoulder. I had to have the surgery to repair a couple of torn tendons, which came from a car accident I had back in 2019. I’ve been dealing with the pain because that’s what I do, but Cortisone shots stopped working and the doctor recommended that I finally have the surgery. Continue reading Do You Have A Purpose?→
It’s hard to get mad at people who take the safe route and withhold their true feelings, in their own names, online. After all, sometimes people will say something that others don’t agree with, and no one wants to be derided for their feelings. These days we have the term “cancel culture”, and it sounds scary. People risk losing their jobs, their friends, and being castigated all over social media; I understand.
Often, it seems the people who fear this the least are those with true hate in their hearts, those who could care less about everyone, only themselves and those like them. Those are the folks who believe it’s always better to be your ugliest self up front, then apologize later and say people took what they had to say out of context, or give a false apology as in “I’m sorry if you were offended by…” Yeah, I bet! When I was originally asked the question about how much I write, I thought it was an odd question. My initial inclination was to say that I’m always writing, but that doesn’t actually address the merits of the question.
Writing me
I do write a lot, but not all of it is what I’ll call creative writing, which encompasses writing my blogs, writing blogs for others, writing my articles for marketing and promotion purposes, working on my books, writing for webpages, sometimes writing before creating videos, etc. When I think about it though, most of it is. I thought I’d talk about it a little bit, just so y’all can see what I do with myself most of my days, and hopefully you’ll pick up a nugget or two. Continue reading How Much Do I Write?→
You don’t hear it talked about openly as much anymore, so I’ll ask first; how many of you are aware of a product called “private label rights“, aka PLR? In essence, these are articles that users can purchase in bulk numbers, usually anywhere from 5 to 100 or so articles for one price. Often only a certain number are sold so that the users know only so many of these articles will be going out to the masses, but when there are lots of articles sometimes more are sold than normal.
I don’t know a lot of people still creating this kind of content for others. I did it once many years ago, putting together 3 packages of articles on something that I’d never have published here. I didn’t sell any of them, so I used them elsewhere; after all, I did write them. Truthfully, the only person I know still putting them out on a regular basis is Alica Seba; she’s always had quality stuff. Continue reading Private Label Rights→
A sidebar. Every once in a while, instead of a traditional blog post I’ll detail a story of something that happened in my life. This article was originally written on March 4, 2009. It was quasi-popular when it was published, but 12 years later no one knows about it. What many people don’t know is that after “so many years” Google will de-list articles on blogs with a lot of content unless that content’s refreshed. If I put in the exact title of the article and my blog’s name, it’ll show up. Without that, no amount of keywords or phrases will ever bring it up.
Because I felt it was a pretty good tale, and because everyone who commented on it back then is no longer blogging, I felt it deserved a refreshing and re-release. I often write stories of what takes place in my life and I’ve always shared them with all my friends. I hope you enjoy it; as always, it’s my truth… which means it’s the truth! 🙂 Continue reading The Keys→
