4 More Blog Maintenance Ideas

It’s time to tackle a familiar theme on this blog but I’m going to touch upon some different types of things… I hope. It’s time to talk about blog maintenance again, which I’ve done twice before.

Humunculus; this guy needs
serious maintenance!

The first time I only talked about broken links. The second time I mainly talked about plugins, which once again included talking about broken links, but I introduced something extra.

This time I’m going to talk about new things while still bringing up an old thing; let’s start with that one just to get it out of the way.

I’ve Always Been Authentic On This Blog

On LinkedIn yesterday I wrote an article titled The Word For 2018 Is Authenticity. I wrote it and alluded to an article I read that gave me inspiration leading into the new year; if you want to see the link, check out that article (why make it easy for you since it’s on a different site? lol).

Authentic Me

The reason it’s important for me is because of my main consulting career. For those who don’t know, I’m a health care finance consultant as well as a leadership/diversity speaker and educator. I did develop my shoulders and upper back muscles though and my pecs looked pretty good; that’s the best I could do, no matter how hard I worked at it.

I’ve always had the strongest legs. Even before I was weight lifting regularly, I got on a universal leg press machine and was able to push it up to 500 lb when I was 15 years old. Later on, when I was doing weight lifting for real, I regularly pushed 500 lb, and every once in awhile would take a gamble and push up to 750 lb. Yes, my legs were strong.

Black Web Friday… On A Monday… After 5 1/2 Years

This is something totally different from what’s become my norm, but not all that different from my past on this blog.

Back in the first half of 2012, I started a series of posts called Black Web Friday. For 19 consecutive weeks, I highlighted black websites and blogs, anywhere from 3 to 5 each week, until I finally shut it down on May 25th, 2012.
