Hi Mitch: I’ll be upgrading to the 2.7 version this weekend. I have the WordPress Automatic Upgrade Plugin and it’s been a life saver.

That’s from Widget Bucks, and yes, if someone clicks on it I get some commission from it. They have other things you can add also, including something that’s like Adsense.

The comment-from-admin ability got my immediate attention as well as the blog coverface style of the dashboard…I hated all that clicking thru you had to do with earlier versions.

btw: Please tell me what you’re using to display my local weather and ads at the bottom of your left sidebar and if it pays commissions for clicks?

Hi Ajith. The thing is that, at this point, I know too many people who’ve had their blogs hacked because they hadn’t updated their software. With the plugin, it’s so easy to update that, in my mind, there’s no reason not to do it, no matter how frequent.

I am yet to upgrade usually I am one of the last to do so.

Basically, since I am from Software Engineernig background, I hate frequent upgrades to any software. I mean, fixing bugs and doing minor enhancements are okay. But unless there are major security fixes, they should stick to something like once in six months or 1 year major releases (1.0, 2.0, 3.0 etc)…

Anyways, most bloggers who are WP lovers don’t seem to bother that much about frequent upgrades

I’ve upgraded two of my blogs using the plugin and it worked real smooth. Will update my other blogs later on. All in all I like the changes and it didn’t take long getting used to at all.
