You’re pretty much correct, Sire. I’ve been to one political rally, back in 1988, and I already knew that if this man earned the nomination I’d vote for him; he didn’t get there. However, there was this energy that came up from hearing him speak, and the entire room was energized,… for awhile. That’s why people go, to get energized and feel good about their position. No one ever changes their mind about someone from going to one of these things. However, most of the time, they don’t come out with irrational hate for the opponent either.

I reckon for a lot of people that attend these rallies that it’s more entertainment than anything else. Too bad the fate of a nation depends on how well they have been entertained.

What is really crazy is the amount of money that is being wasted on this election, especially considering the dire straights of the American economy. I reckon both parties have a lot to learn. Seems to me that no matter who get’s in, the world is in for a rocky ride.

You know, I think that the issue of race in this election is a shame. And it’s not even about race, but also religion. It seems like half of the articles that I read about Obama, that come out of the US, have something to do with either his race or his religious views. The same problems exist for Palin. If she wasn’t a woman, she would still be in Alaska.
Being from Germany, I know that the whole world is watching, and we are hoping that the right candidate comes through . . . Obama. Have you taken a look at worldwide polls . . . wow.
