I can understand your concern, IS. I go the opposite direction with real names, as I’m trying to promote my offline businesses and myself as a professional speaker, and let’s face the fact that, if I didn’t use my real name, then what would be the point? lol I will say, though, that there are certainly measures many people do need to take for themselves, especially women who need to worry about being stalked or tracked by weirdos, and of course kids on MySpace and Facebook need some lessons in discretion also.

Of course, since you read this post, you saw how many blogs I follow on a regular basis, and yet I do read way more than that. I’m glad I’m not just subscribing to everything I see; I’d never get through it all.

Actually I didn’t notice. I consider it unsafe to use real names online. I’ve explained why in the posts about Privacy and Data Mining in my blog, especially in the comments of the post about free services not being free.

I’ll do my best to remember you prefer IS; however, with the number of blogs I visit that may be a larger challenge than I can manage. If I forget it won’t be intentional.

I made a new list so I can look it up if I can just remember to do it.

Oh, we love sharing around here; it’s what I do, after all. However, as you’ve noticed, I did change your name both times. I do require that I at least know your real name once, so that I can call you by that name when I respond to you rather than, well, that kind of fake name. lol

Since I’m new here I’m glad you didn’t mind my sharing. There are getting to be far too many blogs on my lists. What I need now is a better strategy on how to keep on top of them all plus still generate some income.

I have a severe disadvantage: I’d rather give my time and expertise away than spend it making money!
