I have heard of this service before but didn’t really know much about it. I will take a squander at their site and check it out and see what their all about. It sounds interesting enough to make a difference especially since networking is a big motivational factor to achieving success online.

It will always take you to the edit your profile page first, John, because it’s within your profile that you add those applications. So, that one actually makes a lot of sense.

As far as LinkedIn in general, as I said, I haven’t had great success, but I’ve had some, which means it’s valuable enough for me and my business.

Good morning, Mitch.

I find LinkedIn hard to use. Maybe it’s just me.

For instance, I just now clicked on the link you provided for your profile and it takes me to the page to edit my profile.

Also, it never felt like a good fit for me when most of my business efforts were affiliate marketing. Maybe now that I’m getting back into consulting, it would be a better fit…

…if I ever learn how to use it effectively, that is.

Actually, I do. I spent the early part of my time on LinkedIn looking for other business people I knew and connecting with them. After that, I spent time looking through people they were connected to and seeing if any of them were in fields that I might be able to offer something to. After that, then I did a search for people in my own industry, not necessarily people who did what I did directly but people in industries to whom I could possibly offer services to. Each time one of those folks decided I was worthy enough to contact to, then I’d look through their list of contacts also. I’ve found a lot of people I know that way; that’s kind of freaky. But that’s not a bad way to get going.

Actually Sire, LinkedIn is a worldwide operation. Have you heard of Des Walsh in your blogging tours? Anyway, he’s in Australia, and he’s on LinkedIn. It’s for business everywhere, though, until recently, I didn’t feel as though it had earned the right to have much of my time.
