Kid Tech Guru

At my age, there’s a lot of technology stuff I just don’t know about, and of course that bothers me because I try to find out about as much as I can.

Well, it’s with pleasure that I introduce to the rest of you who are a little bit older, and by that I’m talking even in your 20′s, to this site, Kid Tech Guru. It’s a blog written by Xavier Lur, and the most fascinating thing about him, to me, is that he’s 14 years old, and writing a very good and intriguing blog. And he reached out to me first on Twitter; shows he’s got brains also. :-)

My first visit to the site was eye opening. He’s easily talking about a lot of tech things, many that I have no clue on, such as Cbox, Oggix, Optikol, Net Thirsty, etc, but then integrates that with things I do understand, such as his article on the hacking of the sites of Barack Obama and John McCain, different ways to use Google, and sometimes even news items, such as his story on an Apple executive forced to stop working at Apple by a judge because he might divulge trade secrets from his previous employer, IBM. Talk about restraint of trade!

Anyway, take a look at his site, and read some of what he’s written. I bet you learn something.

Yeah I know is blog, it is really impressive for a 14 yo kid to be honest. There are more and more teenagers blogging online because there’s no barriers!

I’ll grant you that, Ben, but I really like how Xavier has handled his blog. You wouldn’t know his age by his writing.

hi Mitch,
I checked out the Kid Tech Guru’s website, and as one “guru” to another, I’ve got to say that kid is smart!
I too am clueless about “Cbox, Oggix, Optikol, Net Thirsty, etc” and am very impressed by the tech smarts of (much of) the younger generation – I’m also very happy to see it.

Same from here, Steve. He’s an amazing guy, that’s for sure. Course, we don’t want to swell his head. LOL

Maybe, Monik, but a difference between him and you is that he didn’t ask for it, whereas you did. I’m not sure if you’re getting out into the same circles he has, but sometimes that’s what it takes to be found. It would be the same for most other blogs, including this one; for instance, how did you find me?
