Too true about the texting. My sister pretty much lives on her cell phone. It’s a hard concept for me to grasp but she lives and dies by pounding those small keys in.

It has a great appeal, I must say. Just today I’ve hit 500 followers. I’m not sure why they’re following me, but they are, and they talk to me from time to time, and I talk to some of them. It’s working great through football, I must say.

Mitch, you’ve actually come close to convincing me to use twitter. I wasn’t a fan of it but i saw it as just attention hungry people posting about the every detail of their lives. However, the notion of meeting new people and talking over it has some allure!

I wonder who that was you were following; no matter. I’ve dropped few people since the election, but one lady, who was really funny, I dropped because it was just more profanity than I wanted to keep reading. Twitter is very convenient, that’s for sure, but I have few friends who live here in town who’ll get on for whatever reason. No matter; look at all the new friends I’ve met. That, plus you’re right, you can leave it going in the background and catch up as you see fit, especially if you have a program like TweetDeck or the one you’re using.

Good afternoon, Mitch.

I’m finding that I’m enjoying Twitter more as I find ways to connect with more friends and acquaintances.

When I’m not busy programming or writing, I generally leave Twitterrific running and catch up on tweets every fifteen minutes, or so, while I’m waiting on the computer for something.

I see new blog posts, Squidoo lenses, forum entries, and other things in which I’m interested moments after they are posted, thanks to the authors using Twitter. That’s very handy. I’ve read things I might never have seen otherwise.

Still, I’m only on Twitter for a couple of hours a day and I’m always doing something else at the same time.

It even comes in handy for sending a quick direct message when it would take so much longer to fire up an email client and send an email.

When I encounter someone or something I don’t like, it’s easy to stop following that person.

Just this morning, I stopped following someone after their second “You Suck” list on their blog. That’s just not the mindset I’ll accept from someone. *Poof*

I’m sure it’s not for everyone, but I’m learning all the time how to make it work better for me and what I want to do.

Truthfully Ikki, I’m not sure why either, but I know it’s not only my blog. I think one of those boxes comes with the Threaded Comments plugin I use, and I’m expecting the original one comes with the WP program itself, though I’m not totally sure because, if it does, I haven’t been able to find it.

As for Twitter, it’s got its ups and downs, but I have to say that it’s helped to enhance a part of my life a bit since I’ve started participating on it more.

To be honest, I’m not a big fan of Twitter – yet. I’ve been using for about 3 months now and just now is when I’m starting to actually enjoy it. Not like that crazy -but terrifying beautiful- girl, though
