Not for me, Tim. I mean, we all saw the liftoffs, and we saw them coming back. Even our government wouldn't be stupid enough to spend that kind of money lifting people off the ground and not sending them anywhere, and how would they have been able to hide putting them back up into the sky so we could see them coming back down? Pure idiocy, these conspiracy theorists.

I saw recently a documentary with people claiming US astronauts never landed on the Moon. Kinda makes you wonder if there is something true in that :)

Yeah, I kept looking at my statement and wondering why it didn't make sense to me; ugh. And we do have images of it, as we had images even before astronauts got there.

That would be exciting, Wil; we'll see what transpires over the next 10 years, if they have the money to continue doing stuff.

Ah, not to disagree with you but the far side of the Moon does get sunlight as it orbits the Earth. However, the same side faces the Earth at all times so only the Apollo astronauts have acutally seen the far side. There are photographs and mapping missions have covered the most of the Moon's surface.

We were supposed to have a Moon base by the late 1990's but Nixon gutted the funding for NASA. It still gets me that he was the President when we first landed on the Moon. :-P

Mitch, the NASA has announced that they would expect a new colonization to be built on the Moon before 2020! Hopefully, we will have the chance to witness this spectacular event...
