The two main techniques are budgeting and keeping a jar where I dump all extra change at the end of the day. Amazing how fast that extraneous change adds up into some nice free money to play with.

Hi Todd,

I went to take a look at the site you have so I could answer this better. In essence, you really don’t have a website, just a domain name. If I were in your position and I kept getting all those calls, but I was generating income with the domain name, I’d probably invest a little bit of money by creating a second page and telling people that you’re not whomever it is they’re looking for. I’d say when I bought the domain name, and say that if anyone was working with someone else before that date that they’ll have to do more research to see if they can find that company, which probably doesn’t exist anymore. Also, put down the name of the company people are looking for.

That’s how I’d handle it.

Mitch,
I own the site Creditcardsolutions.com with the “s” on the end. Im getting about 4 calls a day from upset people looking for a company that is taking their money. These are people who already have money issues. Im thinking of closing the site. I set merchants up to take credit cards and the site has my number, but Im getting a lot more calls looking for this other company then clients looking to process cards. Please advise.

One technique that helped me out of credit card debt was figuring out exactly how much I was spending on the interest alone each day, month, and year. So, I decided to create a form that would help automatically calculate credit card interest for me. With that information, it helped me figure out how paying the minimum wasn’t enough. Please take a look and leave me any feedback on how I can make it better.

Hey I caught your blog and you mentioned credit cards, which kind of lit a lightbulb and rang bellsin my head. Man, I’ve been in the credit card services web site business for awhile. I basically provide a free service to my users indexing all the credit card offers as I can on behalf of the banks and credit card companies. I ran across some 20somethings in a cafe the other day and just like them, I bet others among your readers would benefit from my site, ApplyForCards, which I’ve been working and been perfecting for quite awhile. So those 20somethings in the cafe didn’t know you could apply for a credit card online and had thought you could only do it via mail or at a bank or just be mailed the application for getting on “a magic list”. I stoicly (and with a straight face) informed them that this wasn’t the only case and referred them to my site with my business card. The is URL attached to my comment for my site. I hate to make this comment about me, but I love your blog post and I know others will too. I’ve had a site up for awhile and host many credit card offers, from Discover and Visa to AmEx. So, if anyone wants to order a new credit card that’s lost as for how to do it and have a steady income and would like to check and see if they qualify or know they do, please do. Enjoy!
