Cash Burners Affiliate Program

Posted by Mitch on Apr 22, 2009
Listen with webreader

You know, sometimes there are affiliate programs that might be pretty good in how they pay you, but you make a determination that, for whatever reason, it’s really not for you.

I learned about the Cash Burner’s affiliate program through a Twitter post by a young man I happen to know is only 13 years old (one of the few kids I’ve actually ever seen on Twitter), and decided to track back to his site to see what it was all about. What he’d done was post the main affiliate image, along with the very first words on the site, which I’m going to reproduce now:

Cashburners affiliate program is for web marketers who want to start generating huge commissions, from the selling of herbal formulations, sex toys, and other high converting products. Commission rates are 40 – 50%, and 5% on commissions made from affiliates you have referred.

Cashburners is FREE to join, and infact, we give all new affiliates a $50 welcome bonus!

And there you go. I hadn’t realized when I first saw it that he had just copied what they’d written, but after talking to him a couple of times, I went to the website and that’s when I noticed he had. I was initially troubled, knowing he was a kid, that he was able to sign up for this program, but so be it; let him do as he does, as long as his parents don’t care, right (though I found out later that his parents don’t know he blogs)?

So here’s the thing. You see that, other than the sex stuff, it mentions “herbal formulations” and “other high converting products.” Well, when you look at the images of the products they’re selling, most everything is geared towards sex in some fashion. The herbal stuff are enhancement items from what I could see, and the only item I saw on the first page that wasn’t sex related was something called WhiteLight, which is a tooth whitening system. Well, I guess that could end up being sex related, but I digress. :-)

I decided to check out the FAQ, just to be fair, and if the items were otherwise this might be a pretty good program for beginners. They provide free hosting, free site designs, and selling or marketing. Yet, I do know a couple of people who have set up sites for penis enlargement products, and have done fairly well with them, though they rarely tell anyone about these sites. As the money goes, if you wanted to be a profitable affiliate marketer you couldn’t find too many better paying affiliate programs, that’s for sure. But some of the templates that you see on the site,… no, I just couldn’t see it being me.

But it might be for some of you, and it is an affiliate program that someone might like to market, so there you go; enjoy it, make lots of money if you can, and, well, there you go. :-D

I can’t see myself promoting the herbal stuff that perpetuate the myth that they can growing the size of your penis. I’m not sure if there are stuff that can increase your staying power, but unless I could prove it worked I can’t see myself promoting that either.

I have done a type of sex toy/exercise ball that got me a sale though.

The adult market does have lots of opportunities, my brother in law looks after an adult site for a client and they have websites that make a good living that simply feed traffic to his clients site. Don’t think its for me though. On a different note I did come across a tool that looks pretty useful today called clickdensity not sure if you have heard of it.

Mitch Reply:

Hi Khaled. No, haven’t heard of clickdensity, so I may have to check for it. As for the other, I’d thought that getting links from adult sites would brign down the value of your site. Then again, if it’s a one way, and, for some people, they wouldn’t know about it, I guess that would be unfair.

Khaled I just checked out the clickdensity site, its exactly like Google Analytics but just not as popular.

Wow, well Mitch, this probably explains why there’s always so many emails about these types of products. With that type of commission rate, it doesn’t take a lot of sales to give you strong earnings.

Still, like you’ve said, this isn’t really a market I see myself involved in. I don’t know if I could tell people I made my millions “selling sex toys.” ehhhh

Well, I could tell them I made “millions”, but if I didn’t make it then I wouldn’t want to be associated with it. lol

Sex in all shapes and forms sells, and sells well; that’s pretty common knowledge. If one has shame or embarressment issues, thst’s their own demons to battle.

Yes Mitch, any links to OR from, if purposely done, those neighborhoods to anything outside those neighborhoods, can be fatally harmful; whether they’re 1 way, 2 way or 3 way (was that a pun?)

I think it was a pun. lol And you’re right, sex sells, and I’m not a prude, but I do wish to keep certain things separate, for business reasons. So, no, I’m just not going there.

I didn’t say you should, in fact I said you shouldn’t; at least on this or any other blog out of it’s area.

I was mainly pointing it out to those that commented, really? this stuff sells well?

Oh, I know that, Dennis. Sex really does sell, as I have a friend with a site geared towards male enhancement, and he does pretty well with it.

almir Reply:

you figure that there’s so many websites out their selling such products that it’s a really difficult market to compete in and that the potential to make money are at very low odds if any. If your friend is doing well than he is very lucky because I was thinking about doing it myself but didn’t see myself doing well in that particular market.

There are lots of websites, but it’s a big market. That, plus some websites look pretty scary, while others look like they might be the real deal. Personally, I’m not big on template websites myself.

Those are some huge commisions! But I guess it’s also a pretty hard market. Most of the sex toys and stuff like that is sold by huge shops, not lone affiliate marketers.

Reply

Mitch Reply:

Actually Cyk, that’s not entirely true. Many people buy online so they can maintain a sense of anonymity. Walking into a sex shop to buy things could be quite embarrassing, especially with the worry that someone they know might see them.

Uhhh, not that I would know anything about that (cough). lol
