Yup, the comment stuck with me for that long. And I knew just what you were saying, but I then thought about it and realized that this man makes a lot of money, and knows a lot of people, and has been doing it for a long time. There are formulas that someone learns, and if it works then they do it. If it irritates us,… they don’t care.

I created this particular blog for the main reason of making money, but also having a different outlet to write than my other blog. I hope I’m doing a mix of two things, both marketing and entertaining. I think it’s hard to monetize a Blogger blog. But, as you can see, I have a lot to say and write also.

So, thanks for the inspiration!

Wow! I didn’t realize you saw that comment–much less paid attention to it. So much conversation goes on in Twitterville. Sometimes it’s hard to keep up with but when the same person is saying the same thing over and over and over and over again, it does get annoying. On the other hand, I love learning from others so if his messages are working then I need to stand up and take notice–and keep my fingers from walking where they shouldn’t be.

On the subject of blogging, I would love to know how to make money from it since I LOVE to write but I never thought of it as a money maker. it’s just what I do.

That’s a good way to think, Convert. There are ups and downs when one first starts a blog, but the truth of the matter is that you have to at least start writing something, and eventually, hopefully, people will find you. Good luck with it all.

I would be happy to stomach sales. however it is not too easy to gain good traffic to a newly blog like I happened to create, it’s just 2 weeks old. And the same for getting comments. So for time being I focus on creating of a new content, I also comment in other blogs a few times every other day and I believe the fruit/SALES Advertising should come to me as well.

Hi Memarie; thanks for posting. Yeah, I’m not crazy about the constant hounding either, and I’ll delete and unsubscribe in a heartbeat. In sales training, which I take for my offline career, they say you might have to get in front of someone 16 times before they’re ready to consider you for your product or services; pretty high number, isn’t it?

my husband is a salesman, and unfortunately the most successful salesmen he works with are the pushiest ones. my husband is not pushy, so we’re broke.

as far as internet sales though, i think it’s like religion; people will respond best to the soft sell: setting an example, portraying a product as something that’s simply a part of your life and makes you happy, rather than blasting readers with in-your-face chutzpah.

i once had a “friend” on my myspace page that would post at least five identical bulletins a day trying to sell stuff, and several comments as well. She did not remain my “friend” long and I made sure she knew why.

I would love to make a lot of money by blogging. Heck I can think of nothing better than to leave my full time job and earn a living via my blogging skills.

Having said that I do not want to do that by screwing money out of those who read my posts by anything that can be perceived as being dishonest.

I completly understand where your coming from in the issue – if the person is out to make money, then so be it! However it does draw a fine line between what is acceptable and what is not, hence now why people are suspious of giving out their emails and personal details online.

I think that if you go by your own judgement, and how you would like a site to look/feel/act, you will appear more ‘geniune’ almost than a site that is constantly try to sell to you. Yet once again therein lies a pitfall, because some stuff works, and some doesnt…its a tricky business this, lol!
