I think you've kind of missed my point. I purchased 10 ISBN numbers because I wanted 10 numbers; I could have bought one. I also purchased 300 books because I wanted 300 books; I could have gone a different direction. Every step of the way, I chose exactly what I wanted to do; I didn't make a single mistake. My plan didn't fall apart; it's what I picked on purpose. Also remember that all these sites that are here now weren't around when I did this, but the few that were, I wasn't interested in. I'd never go for a Publish America route; doesn't interest me. I still get 100% of my profits, but I have so many more options, at a lesser cost overall, than someone else might have. You would have kept ownership of the book and got 100% of the profit. Not a bad deal when you truly want to self-publish.
