I thought about that, Steve, but I won’t link to that post until Monday, when I expect to write about my monthly stats.

As for the other, I find that I tend to be very much a numbers guy, which probably explains why I keep checking things out. But with the consulting assignment coming, hopefully I’ll back off that a little bit. Well, that and poker.

I check my traffic stats when they hit my email, or if I remember before that.

I check my other stats when I remember to look up at the toolbars.

I just do what I do and keep doing it.

hi Mitch,
A thought provoking post. I too am obsessed with numbers sometimes. And it’s good to again ask why we blog. I believe if one enjoys blogging for blogging’s sake, then the comments, visitors, and whatever this money-thing that people keep mentioning will just be the icing on the cake. If one is only doing it for the icing, I think one is making a mistake.
